Juju On That Beat
On Monday afternoon it was a senior syndicate assembly where room 9 hosted it. Nobody was expecting anything out of the ordinary until room 9 called up three people from each class to participate in a challenge. The challenge was the dance 'Juju On That Beat' to see who from each class could dance the best. When it was my classrooms turn Quros, Samuel and Mika volunteered to dance. The music began to play and I couldn't help but laugh through the whole performance. Everything was so hilarious especially Mika dancing put a smile on my face throughout the rest of the day.

Duffy Award
On Monday I received a Duffy book for scoring 10/10 in my reading test with Mrs Golder. Mrs Vickers had said to choose a boy and a girl although Mrs Golder chose me and Athens instead. I got to personally pick out my book since I received what was suppose to be the boys book. In the end I chose a book titled 'Beswitched'. It's really interesting so far - about a girl who was summoned by girls from the past on her way to her new boarding school. And I am really glad to have received this award, because it's probably the best book Iv'e read in a long time.

Manaiakalani Film Festival
I couldn't wait to watch all the hard working movies that our school and others put effort into for the last term.
Encouraging cheers came from other students as the film festival started. Some films were about the Olympics like ours and others were about what they had been achieving in class. I think that our movie we produced was by far the best, not because my class made it but just because it was. I really enjoyed seeing all the other schools' films and am going to miss coming to the Manaiakalani film festival next year. https://www.youtube.com/ embed/8cDmWCfmI6w < (here is the link for the focuser)

Another Senior Syndicate Assembly
A few weeks ago Room 12 hosted yet another senior syndicate assembly. It was quite long because we had another Class Feud where Meana and Aydrian hosted it. All the classrooms stayed quiet as Meana asked the questions to the contestants who were participating and representing their classrooms. The Class Feud contained questions such as, "What is a dog;s favourite toy?" and others like that. The senior certificates were presented and then the prefects did a few reminders. Finally the assembly was over and back to class we went finishing off with maths for the day.

The Botanical Gardens
Today our whole school went to The Botanical Gardens.
It was so beautiful as our bus pulled into the entrance, everything was just Wow the whole time we walked through the gardens. I loved all the colourful flowers we saw and the ponds were really pretty as well.
We were stuck in one particular place for ages because we kept missing numbers that we needed for our activity. Things started to get really frustrating because the sun was blazing hot and we were all so tired running back and fourths trying to find a tarata tree. In the end we were all puffed out we had to take a break by the roses.
Finally it was time to go back to school. I reckon everyone was exhausted from our visit at the Botanic Gardens because everyone was falling asleep including me.

Back To School
I was really excited to come back to school, see all my friends and get back into learning. We didn't go straight into our classroom because our classroom was not ready due to the Asbestos testing from last term. So our morning was pretty tiring as we had to carry everything back to class. In the end we managed to get our classroom back to normal and are now we are in our normal routine. Assembly was later on and I received two Duffy books which was a nice way to finish the first day off school, even though we still have to do homework.
