New Zealand-breed prince of Penzance won the 2015 Melbourne cup in horse riding, while his rider Michelle Payne was the first female to win alongside her horse. Jumping from barrier one, the prince of Penzance made his way out in the final straight and broke clear of the pack 200 meters from the line.
